Thank you for your interest in my research project. From November 2022 until January 2024, I will be conducting research on the Indo-Caribbean communities in New York City and Toronto. This project will examine identity formations and understandings of race and culture amongst second-generation* Indo-Caribbeans in these two cities. For this project, I am focusing specifically on people with Indian ancestry from Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago.

*Second-generation Indo-Caribbeans are people who were born and raised in New York and Canada or arrived to these cities from the Caribbean at the age of 10 or younger.
